“Where would I find you”

In your too-small bed
with your big feet dangling
off one side
Are there children outside-
noisy playtime,
or birds,
chirping territorial woes
Is the street busy with summer people
out, doing summer things
Do ghosts still keep you
company in the warm
Are your thoughts stirring
at observation of the mind
If I pray
will you hear me
and will your muses sing?
